A place for inner peace
Enjoy the art of stillness
Rest in the presence of silence

There's never been a time when the invitation to retreat is so radical and so relevant, so needed and so welcome.

When life gets too much, and you have this furious longing to simply be still and find inner peace, the calm in your storm may be found in silent compassion. This Retreat is curated for you to spend quality time with your soul and let all your worries and stress fade awayā€”Here is a healthy escape from the noise and chaos of daily living

A silent retreat allows you to go inward and process thoughts in a calm, constructive wayā€”going deeper into an understanding of who you are within the reflection of God.  This time is set aside to go beyond ALL your identities,  including the body, mind, intellect, and ego. Apart from guided group meditations, you may also spend time outside watching the sun rise and set, connecting to God and nature, and being immersed in the tranquility of God's Presence.

We will have yoga, breath-work, prayer, meditations, and spiritual prompts to guide you. The sacredness of silence can be a mystical journey to hear the sounds of silence and the heartbeat of God's Loving Spirit. Silence can be your compass to inner healing and a guide to the path of serenity.

This 3 DAY SILENT RETREAT is designed as a sacred contemplative journey for women to come away and "Be Still"
Time to CHERISH HER SOUL

An Invitation;

Every day we will create life rhythms with the sounds of silence. Holy Invitations for Spiritual Practices are given for us to find peace and serenity with God through nature
Together with compassionate courage, we can begin to give ourselves permission to re-align ourselves, to dream again, to heal, to simply be human in this sacred journey, and live with simple life rhythms in a new balanced way.

Serra Retreat Center:

Serra Retreat is a Retreat and Conference Center that provides the space, in a beautiful setting, for peace, serenity and reflection. It is located between the mountains and the ocean in Malibu, California with stunning views.
The Serra Retreat Story begins in 1802, the year Joseph Tapia, a Spanish subject, was granted permission by the commander in Santa Barbara to graze cattle on Rancho Malibu. Since then many a story to be told.

In 1942, the Franciscan Friars purchased the 26-acre property with an abandoned hilltop mansion and began hosting Catholic men's retreats. In the 1970s, Serra Retreat began to offer women's retreats as well as men's. Examples of pride and belonging are everywhere: the various shrines, the Stations of the Cross, the fountains, the individual rooms, and the priceless beauty. The Franciscan Friars continue the tradition for welcoming groups and personal retreats, as well as meetings, conferences, and workshops.

The view, through the arched windows of the dining room, offers a panorama of the winding creek from Malibu Canyon joining the Pacific Ocean. This juncture forming a natural lagoon is a state bird sanctuary and park. The locations of the retreat offers outstanding views of the mountains and water, and the buildings are surrounded by gardens, secluded resting places and walking paths.
As a place of refuge from the busyness of city life nearby, it offers a place of peace and rest to those who come to its doors. The Franciscans combine their ministry of hospitality and inspiration with the natural wonder of sky, gardens and beautiful weather. Your visit is sure to leave you renewed and refreshed.

Beverly Steiger | Yoga Instructor

Beverly is a Master Holy Yoga Instructor,  health educator, and Teacher Trainer for Holy Yoga Global. She has been a student of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga for over 25 years. In 2012, Beverly felt called to merge her background in public health education and family ministry to promote holistic wellness and was the first to bring the practice of Holy Yoga to Connecticut. Over the next three years, Holy Yoga of New Fairfield grew to several locations in CT and NY. Her dream to someday open a Holistic Community Wellness Yoga studio where people could come, free of judgement or denomination labels to connect with God (as they understand God), while getting healthy and whole became a reality in October 2015 with the opening of HYCT (New Fairfield Yoga & Wellness) in her hometown.
The opportunity to serve all ages in her community with holistic yoga and wellness is both and honor and a blessing.

While Beverly has practiced many different styles of yoga over the years, never has her soul been touched, healed and uplifted as when practicing Holy Yoga.
